You may have noticed that throughout our website we have tried to clearly express our belief in the importance of history. We have done this in various ways, including numerous quotes supporting the view that history is vital and the reasons for learning from the past.
However, some people might be thinking, “yes, I know, I see…but how? How do I teach my children, who dislike history, to love history?” I’m definitely not an expert, nor do I try to be, but I thought I would share some ideas from my upbringing.
For His glory,

“If [America] forgets where she came from, if the people lose sight of what brought them along, if she listens to the deniers and mockers, then will begin the rot and dissolution.”
Historical revisionists have made big strides in influencing many Americans to despise history. Most people’s view of history, or social studies, from public school experience is that it is dry, boring and full of a bunch of meaningless dates.
During our homeschooling years, it was difficult to find quality history books that told the true story of history. Many companies carried limited history resources and it was hard to find those places that specialized in history. History is an easily censored subject, due to the fact that it is next to impossible to write history that is totally unbiased. A writer’s perspective is directly influenced by their worldview, whether it is a good or bad worldview. Today, it continues to be difficult to find history books that are not revised or censored and retain the Christian influence and heritage of our past.
To counter this dilemma, we began a quest for quality history books. We preview every book we sell to maintain our vision and mission of providing only books that have retained a true, Christian worldview. We pray that we will stay true to our mission and you will be blessed by the books and resources we provide. We are spilling over with ideas for future products, resources, and aids that would benefit your family. We welcome any feedback, suggestions, and ideas. We look forward to what God is going to do!
For HIS glory,
Melinda
